In Chattanooga, Tennessee the construction of a new homeless shelter was begun in January of 2013. November 4, 2013 it will open its doors to those who are on the street. The county was awarded a federal grant for $2.7 million in order to fund the homeless project. Those who find themselves homeless are able to seek assistance at this shelter. It is located adjacent from the Community Kitchen and the thrift store. It is a convenient walking location for those who are trying to move back up in financial stability status.
